The RMRG Endowment
The RMRG Endowment is a key component to our long term financial viability and provides a steady stream of income from the investment return. Our endowment is managed by The Community Foundation. While most donations go to our general fund to support our daily search and rescue operations, a gift to the RMRG Endowment is gift for the future. If you are considering a gift to the RMRG Endowment, our Fundraising Chair is available to discuss any questions you may have.

Colorado Outdoor Recreation Search and Rescue (CORSAR) card
If you purchase a CORSAR card, you fund a statewide fund that supports search and rescue operations. This is foremost a benefit for Sheriff’s Office that can incur major costs if they, for example, use a helicopter (not an air ambulance) to support a search and rescue operation. However, the fund cannot be accessed unless you have purchased a CORSAR card or fishing license, boating license, etc. RMRG works closely with the Sheriff’s Office and strongly supports your purchase of a CORSAR card.
All funds left over at the end of the year are available to agencies such as RMRG to apply for funds for search and resuce equipment and training. Most years, RMRG obtains a sizeable amount of equipment from CORSAR card funds so the overall benefit of this fund to RMRG is substantial.
The CORSAR card enrollment costs just $3 for one-year, and $12 for five-years, and can be purchased at over 300 retailers in the state. Or, you can purchase them online at: https://www.colorado.gov/dola/search-and-rescue-fund
