Practice night vertical evacuation, Eldorado Canyon

"Packaging" a simulated patient into the RMRG litter prior to vertical evacuation
Since many rescues happen at night, RMRG sometimes practices at night. On April 22, 2017, we had a practice in Eldorado Canyon. We performed vertical evacuation of two patients from the top of the Lower Ramp from about 6 to 10 pm. Rescuers accessed the top of the Ramp by fixed lines on the east side, performed the evacuations down the steeper west side, and then rappelled down the west side to get back to the ground. A chilly evening, but fortunately clear & dry.
Vertical evacuation of the second simulated patient, almost to the base of the west side of the Lower Ramp.
